A Frozen Christmas Eve Afternoon

I took this photo on whilst visiting my family in Sweden over Christmas. Here my brother and my boyfriend are standing on a bridge by the frozen lake near my grandparents house in Albo, waiting for the hot dogs to be grilled. It is their dark silhouettes and the natural yellow light from the sun-down which magnifies this photo.

This is a girl named Laura Figiel and I found her through google when I was browsing quirky jewellery. I came across these images of amazing hand-made jewellery and was straight away drawn by her distinctive and creative design technique - how she uses simple hand drawings on plastic and it creates such a fantastic piece of jewellery that I would love to have. Laura is inspired by many things such as flowers, French, geometrical shapes, seasons and vintage, and she is clearly very talented. she does not only create jewellery but she also makes other accessories, household items and clothes. From Models to Cooks...

I think its great to see that some women are now turning from the 'starving' world and joining the majority in the world of eating, these women happen to be those from the higher end of the scale of beautiful known as MODELS. Even though its a bit ironic, they are setting a good example to their fans about food. These models include: Sophie Dahl who has become a well-known chef, and recently Lorraine Pascale (the first black model to make the cover of US ELLE) who now has taken on her dream of being a patisserie chef. Its refreshing to see that they cook normal homely dishes rather than worrying about the calories or fat content considering they come from that harsh environment. Good luck to them both!

An Artistic Inspirational Mind from a Six Year Old

This article shows the wonderful work from a sensational young artist called Kieron Williamson. He is only six and shows this potential in his art work which I personally find absolutly amazing. I believe he shows great signs of a young modern Monet!
